CATASTROPHIC

During the early 80's, a movement of extreme music was being created from California, to New York, to Germany, and all points in between. Thrash Metal, Speed Metal, Black Metal, and ultimately Death Metal were born. In 1984, Executioner rose from the swamps of Florida to help create an extreme metal movement in the Southeast United States. Later, in 1989, they changed their name to Obituary and released their debut LP "Slowly We Rot" on Roadrunner Records. Since then, Obituary has released five more albums and continues to churn out some of the heaviest music around. Obituary is considered one of the forefathers of Death Metal. Trevor Peres, rhythm guitarist and the main song writer of Obituary, has created another entity of extreme music. Following no trends, Catastrophic will send chills down your spine with the most brutal guitar sound, hardcore drums, and enraged attitudes. Catastrophic infuses the brutal sounds of Death Metal with intensity of New York Style Hardcore. This music is not for the weak. After listening to the songs "Hate Trade", "Pain Factor", and "The Veil", one will be left wondering what hit them. Catastrophic is Trevor Peres on lead/rhythm guitar. Including, Keith DeVito vocals/lyricist, Chris Basile lead/rhythm guitar, Brian Hobbie on bass and Rob Maresca percussion; all from the group Pyrexia.
